Today would have been the 25th anniversary of DisneyQuest in Orlando, FL, which opened on June 19th, 1998! For those who didn’t know, DisneyQuest was a five-floor indoor interactive theme park located on the west side of what is now known as Disney Springs at The Walt Disney World Resort. Not only did it have eight virtual rides and attractions it also had over 300 classic arcade games too. It was a classic video gamer’s paradise and a place to introduce the next generation to those classic arcade games.
In July of 2017, DisneyQuest closed its doors to make way for The short-lived NBA Experience which officially opened in 2019 and officially closed its doors in 2021. Although the NBA Experience had already been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
We know that there are many Arcaders out there who might also miss DisneyQuest, so if you miss it, please sound off in the comments!

It was definitely a one-of-a-kind experience, both as a guest and as a Cast Member. I still wish there could have been a way to save it, but I’m glad I was able to be a part of it for as long as it was there. 🙂
