Hey Arcaders!
Yeah… after what posted this morning… I think I’m going to wait.
I think I really need the Atari 2600 plus Pac-Man Edition console!
you heard me right! Those amazing people (pun intended!) over Atari are doing it again only this time they’ve licensed Pac-Man and created a completely unique Atari 2600 plus console in honor of Pac-Man’s 45th anniversary! It’s beautiful in Pac-Man yellow with the black trim Pac-Man and the ghost chasing him down at the bottom where the wood grain would be and the Atari logo emblazon on the front. It also comes with a Pac-Man Wireless Atari 2600 joystick in Pac-Man yellow!
and if that wasn’t enough it comes with its own cartridge Pac-Man double feature which comprises of two separate games the original Atari 2600 version of Pac-Man as well as the remake Atari Pac-Man for the 7800 that is leaps and bounds better than most commercial releases were at the time!
This also means it’ll use any Atari 2600 or 7800 cartridge and if you get courageous enough they even have ghost monster joysticks and their colors match each ghost Inky Blinky Pinky and Clyde!
And at $169.99 for the base pack ( including the console Pac-Man Wireless joystick and the Pac-Man double feature cartridge..)I think that’s a very sweet deal.

Even if I bought the system with all five joysticks, the Namco arcade collection for the Atari 2600 Plus which includes the Pac-Man double feature Galaga, Xevious, and Dig Dug In the mega collector bundle… That only comes in shy at $433.

You can also collect all four games in the High Score collection- in color cartridges!
Now listen, I know that this unit is not as powerful as a switch 2 nor will anybody want this unless you’re a niche collector like myself but for me I would rather buy this than the switch 2 right now.
But if you’re a serious ’80s video game player like myself and have fun memories of your Atari 2600 or any of the Atari consoles that I grew up with plus you have a huge obsession with Pac-Man then this is the buy for you!
Preorders start in less then 2 days. Go to the Atari website… and go back in time.
Keep Playin’ Like It’s1981!

It’s all good. 😊

I considered buying a Switch 2, but the price point was asinine. $450 for a tablet that doesn’t even have a web browser or other standard features is a joke.
