Are you ready for something spooky? And something kooky? Well, have I got something for you!!! One of the best (in my opinion)- as well as one of the most overlooked games by Rare has to be Grabbed By The Ghoulies!!!
Released in 2003, just after their acquisition by Microsoft, this game WAS supposed to be released on the Gamecube, but was instead released on the Xbox. Shame really- you can tell that this is a Gamecube game, through and through!
You play as Cooper. He and his girlfriend Amber are looking for shelter from a storm when they come across Ghoulhaven Hall, a mansion owned by Baron Von Ghoul. after calling him names, he steals Amber, and locks her up tight. You have to find Amber- but it wont be easy… there are all sorts of nasty fouls and monsters lurking about- and you have a target on your head!!! But- fear not! Grab anything that’s not tied down, and start beating up THE MONSTERS!!! That’s right- hit them with everything you got to rescue Amber!! With a great story, awesome characters- good and bad (my favorite are the Vampire Chickens!!) As well as powerups, power downs (yes- the Baron has a few tricks up his sleeve) and you are in for a great time!
