Although it’s been several days since her passing, I feel that since this is a geek-related site – and since Star Wars is one of the essential elements that make up geek/pop culture – that we do a tribute to someone who, despite all the obstacles she went through, she was able to eventually power on through and overcome them, even going so far as to share them with her audience which is no easy task.
As an actress, a writer and as a person, Carrie was truly one of a kind, one whose personality would draw you in whether you realized it or not, and one whose humanity shone through all the moments good and bad.
RIP Carrie “Princess Leia” Fisher, for you are now truly one with The Force!
