For longer than I can remember I have been dreaming of writing comics. When I was in High School I wrote comics that appeared in the school newspaper. However, since then I haven’t had any opportunity or means to publish my comic ideas. This all changed when I met Raygunn and he invited me to start writing posts on this very web site and I really enjoyed it. As I began to post more, I realized something: I should be drawing! I shared my idea of a web comic to Raygunn. He loved the idea and granted me creative freedom.

Which brings us to today, this very comic is one of the reasons I came up with Tales From the Game Grid. This comic began as a small trickle that created a flood of ideas. This is only the beginning, for I have many more comic ideas including some that I had years which have stayed in my head.

Now Arcaders, if you read this blog you know how I feel about Pokemon, but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Peanuts. The Peanuts comic series has had a profound impact on me creatively. Ever since I was a young boy, I remember reading Peanuts in the local newspaper and wondering what crazy things Charlie Brown and Company would get into. I haven’t forgotten the amazing animated specials that came on TV when I was young. I am not just talking about the Christmas and Halloween specials, I am talking about all the specials. My parents were big fans of Peanuts and in fact when I was little my father would have me recite Linus’ lines from the Christmas special every year. For this reason I came up with the idea to mix two things that have had a profound impact on my life. I hope that I have represented both well and I hope you enjoyed this month’s comic.

Tales From The Game Grid title and comic are copyright of Joshua Jordan. Peanuts and Peanuts characters are copyright of PEANUTS Worldwide LLC.
